General Lighting

Task Lighting

Task lighting is also known as Office Lighting. It has got the name because of its usage. You will use task lighting when you need to concentrate light on a specified area. Some of the examples of tasks will be reading, writing, cooking, etc. While reading or writing, you will need a light source directed towards your book. It is called Task Lighting. Although you can read with general lighting, task lighting will prepare your mind for the specific task by natural stimulation. These lights can help you be more alert at your work.

Accent Lighting 

Accent Lighting is the process of focusing light on a specific object or a piece to give it importance. All other areas will fall on shadows while the particular object glows. These lights are used to light up bookcases, furniture, artworks, wall displays, etc. If you want a specific object to get into the eyes of the guests, you can light it with accent lighting. This type of lighting is mostly found in museums, artwork exhibitions, monuments, artefact exhibition centers, etc.

Types of Lighting equipment

Chandelier Lights – These are the ornamental lights, large in the structure that will be mounted on the ceilings. These are known as suspended lights. Chandelier lights are usually found in large spaces like hallways, living rooms, lounges, etc. There will be many lights hanging from branched frames.

Pendant Lights – Pendants lights can be used as accent lighting, task lighting, and ambient lighting, depending upon the placement. These lights will hand from a single cord with one or two lights.

Recessed Lighting – These are the tiny lights placed on walls, floors, and ceilings to create a wall washing effect to display particular products or designs.
